The final stretch of the Copper 88 HKTag Super League was extremely competitive. Here is an overview of the last games and results:
Pool Stages
In Pool A Mayer Brown beat a young Hashtags side 8-6 in a very close game to finish second, while the Tag Buffaloos went unbeaten all the way to the finals with a 14-1 against Wayfoong (HSBC) to top the group. Finals
The 26th of August was a spectacle as all 8 teams played their best tag rugby in four exciting games. The Bowl Final was a tight game: Speight’s HK had their chance to shine with a victory over Wayfoong (4-3). Mayer Brown, argubily the most improved team in the competition caused a major upset to Gai Wu in the Plate Final with a 11-7 final score. Other tight game was the one between Wan Chai Warriors and the Hashtags #, where the latests won only by one point 8-7.
The finals culminated with an extremely tight game between the two favorites, Buffaloos and Valley, the most experienced teams of the competition.
